Just wanted feedback on the age-appropriateness of it... and exactly how involved it is?

I just went the day before yesterday. I have to say, it was VERY WELL done. The anatomists did an amazingly meticulous job on the cadavers, not to mention respectful. It was fascinating to say the least. The cadavers are preserved in plastication with all of their private parts in view.
What I thought was the best part of the exhibit was the section with the arteries and veins. Simply astonishing:)
I have to admit though, the embryo section had me wondering. There is an actual pregnant woman with her fetus attached inside her stomach. Such that you would see when you look at a pregnant woman. Anyhow..
I only saw one child there. I personally think it would be a really good experience for a child depending on their age. I don't have children though. My roomate who is a school teacher for 8th graders said her schools 6th grade class went and she may still take her 8th grade class. Soo, maybe it's ok.
Hope I helped:)
thanks, student. I'm actually a little unsure about the fetus thing, only because I may need to follw it up with an explanation. But otherwise, it sounds good. I'll have to see if she brings it up again... I was thinking abut going this weekend (I have to see when it ends in NY)
No problem. If you go this weekend beware to go first thing when it opens. My roomate and her 12 year old daughter went last weekend and refused to wait becuase the line was around the building. Anyhow, have fun:)
