Anyone attend this exhibit in NYC??

Its a display of bodies, from people who have donated their bodies to science. I think it will be either really interesting, or really creepy. Its around for a limited amount of time.

I think as a nursing student it would be interesting to check it out, see the different systems up close and personal. Im looking forward to any input from people who had the opportunity to see it.

Specializes in General adult inpatient psychiatry.

I have seen "The Bodies" and "Bodyworlds 2". They're both awesome and if I'd have been able to see them when I was taking Anatomy a few years ago I think it would have made things so much easier!

I saw Bodyworlds and loved it. I spent I-don't-know-how-many hours there. Wait until you see the lovely black lungs of smokers... yuck!

i was going to see it in pittsburgh, but i didn't get a chance to. i saw something on 20/20 that these "bodies" are not donated. they are actually chinese people who were executed. as a matter of fact, if you go to www.abcnews.go.com/2020 they have an update on it.

I saw it in Tampa. My A&P instructor gave us extra credit if we went. I took my then 15 year-old son. We both loved it. I was especially amazed by the body that was nothing but the blood vessels.

Me too!! Saw it in Orlando and LOVED it!! Wish I could see it again!

Body Worlds is the legitimate exhibit, this one gets it's bodies donated. I believe this is ran by the man that came up with the plastification process, if I recall correctly he is German.

Bodies the Exhibition (or exhibit) is the one that has been under scrutiny. They are not clear about how they get the bodies they use in their exhibits. Just an FYI, you may not want to support the less than honest practices that appear to be going on with this particular exhibit.
