Hi there! I just completed AP I and plan to submit my checklist soon in the hopes of taking HESI 2 this December. I currently have a 3.83 GPA for my PCI’s (I have A’s in everything but AP I for which I received a B+). I hope to do well on the HESI and be accepted to the Nursing program for the Spring of 2023 day program. I wanted to touch base with other people here who plan on doing the same so we can exchange tips and even work together if some of us get accepted to the same program. I look forward to speaking with everyone!

On September 15th I emailed the nursing department to inquire about the dates this year and was told they hadn't been announced yet, and I still have not been given a date for mine despite paying at the end of last month.
Hey Nursinghopeful3,
Did you submit your NPAC checklist to the nursing department? The one asking for the grades for your PCI’s? Once they receive that and you’re in good range, they should have sent you the appointment date and a link to register and pay for it. Then they’ll also send you another form to complete and bring in to them before November 15th.

Thanks for the response! Yes, I submitted my NPAC and —— sent me a link to pay for the HESI, which I did, but it didn't have a date listed that I could see.

OK, I'm an idiot. Just frantically searched my inbox and found an email I had missed with my exam date. December 5th! Good luck, everyone!
Hey guys, Im currently in the program so ill give you an overview:
my cumulative GPA was 3.8 HESI score was around 91%.
50% is pre reqs GPA 50% is HESI.
Most people in my cohort scored 90% above in HESI. safe to assume the cut off is 90%.
The testing phase is 1 week long about 32 students test per day- only 54 for the morning 27 for the evening (unless they increased it) will get the spot.
You submit your checklist, they email you the test date, announcement usually done by end of december if your going for Spring.
Goodluck! if you guys have any questions feel free. I understand the excitement.

Wow! Thank you so much for this info and for offering help.
I read on another BMCC Nursing thread that everything but the clinicals were taken online, which doesn’t sound right to me. Can you confirm or deny?

clinicals online were done in the begining of the pandemic. In general, no, clinicals are not online, they were online because hospitals were not accepting students for rotation. Hospitals are starting to bring students back, and there are days in between are done in a simulation lab at the hospital in person at the NYSIM lab at bellevue

Classes may be in person next semester but currently, some professors did half in-person half online since you meet twice a week, and some asks the student if they want it via zoom. however, exams are in person, exam reviews are in person no exceptions.

Thanks for responding. I’m currently studying for the HESI A2 and am running into a bit of an issue with the critical thinking. Most of the Quizlets on it sound like questions for people who are already nursing students. I have included an example of a question on the HESI A2 critical thinking Quizlet someone on this forum recommended. Do your remember if the questions were like this?
