BMCC Hesi 2015 For Spring 2016

Published

Hello Everyone,

So I successfully passed the HESI, December 3, 2015. I would like to begin communication with other students who applied for BMCC Nursing program and successfully passed the HESI. The nursing department told me students should expect calls after New Years.

My HESI score breakdown-

Math 90%

A&P 88%

Reading Comprehension 82%

Cumulative average= 86%

Math 104+A&P1+English 101+Psychology100= 3.94 GPA

[ Consisting of 3 A's & 1A-]

I hope my HESI cumulative score along with my GPA is good enough for me to be accepted into the Nursing Program Spring 2016 Cohort [i applied for the day program]

They have about a 74% nclex pass rate. I think it's a decent program.

74% that's it :nailbiting: OMG I'm so nervous I hope it turns out good @chrissy_bmcc and yes I already got the required books I just have to get the others off amazon @queen

Congratulations on your acceptance to the Programm!I also got the call yesterday and I'll be on day Programm. Where did you buy required books?I checked Bmcc bookstore and it looks like Required package going to cost around 600$!!!!Woow!!!!Does anybody know the way to buy it cheaper?I wasn't ready for that cost.

I've been taking classes at Murray St so I haven't been to the Chambers building in a few months, question: Where is the bookstore located now? I saw it was under construction last night when I went to pick up my packet. I would like to see the books required, maybe some I can get from Amazon.

Did anyone order "Understanding Pharmacology" yet? Because edition and Isbn # don't match. I don't know if we need 1st ed or 2nd ed.

@chrissy_bmcc we need the 2nd ed for Understanding Pharmacology. I purchased the book from B&N

Can you give me ISBN#? Thanks!

ISBN# 9781416029175

Thanks! But that isbn is for the 1st ed (9781416029175). The blue/green one. The list says 2nd ed but isbn doesn't match 2nd ed (9781455739769). I'm confused now. I called nursing dept and she couldn't answer my question about the book.

You're correct chrissy_bmcc the ISBN# they gave us is incorrect for the 2nd ed. I purchased the book with the ISBN # ending in 9769 which is the 2nd ed.

Ok. I think I'll go ahead and order the 2nd ed.

Do not buy all the books listed or get "the package" they ripping you off on money. All that nursing central stuff etc is not essential. All you really need is the main textbook, and also the code for Hesi case studies if they doing it this semester. Don't go spending all that money.
