  1. Do not buy all the books listed or get "the package" they ripping you off on money. All that nursing central stuff etc is not essential. All you really need is the main textbook, and also the code for Hesi case studies if they doing it this semester. Don't go spending all that money.
  2. It's one person who does the calls and the registration on CunyFirst. I am sure you will get a call.
  3. Are you already enrolled into RN courses at Hunter?
  4. I take it you attend Hunter for RN to BSN. From your experience would you recommend this program to someone going for their BSN? Also have you taking any Bio/Chem courses at Hunter and how would you rate those? Thanks
  5. "Once graduate" is a wonderful on paper, wait until you are in the program you begin to realize the torture is not worth a few thousand saved. You will remember this post a few semesters from now. Or go to the nursing rooms during college hours and ask the students. Nothing like first hand account from people who are actually in said program.
  6. Anyone in this program currently that can share their experience?
  7. If you have the funds please attend a private school. I am currently BMCC Nursing student and this program is horrible, the will not teach and give you critical care/np exam questions. This school will take your life and health.
  8. Those who attended CUNY Hunter college for RN to BSN or Generic BSN degree, can you share your experience good or bad you had during the program. Specifically if you can cover the following topics in your reply: How would you rate your education there? Were the professors knowledgable and actually came to teach? How do you like the science courses there (Chem, Bio, etc)? the 600 people auditorium? General education requirements? Anything else you want to share.
  9. See this list NYS Nursing:Nursing Programs:Baccalaureate Programs Not all are RN TO BSN, some are generic BSN. Complete list nevertheless.
  10. Thank you estrealla that was helpful. I was looking for CNA programs that I can do either during winter or summer break, NYS Nursing - Nurse Aide (CNA) Programs Lots of CUNYs have con ed CNA programs. Would be amazing to get a scholarship of some sort to cover some of the cost, I do get Pell Grants but they only cover part of the tuition.
  11. Question to those of you who are attending or attended CUNY Nursing programs. Do you know of any nursing related scholarships, grants etc. that are offered to CUNY nursing students? Specifically the names of such scholarships and grants if you were a recipient of one? I went to my schools scholarship office and did not have much success there, was told go search online. If anyone knows of any CUNY grants/scholarships or ways that helped you with tuition payments would be great. Thanks
