Biopatch use...

I am trying to find out how many facilities actually use biopatches on their central lines. If your facility uses biopatches will you please respond with your facility location (town & state should be fine) so I can get a general idea? If you dont use biopatches, do you just use sterile gauze or something else? Thanks for your help!!

I work in the NICU and we only use the biopatches for Broviacs.

The changing of the dressing is done under full sterile procedure (gown, mask, cap, etc).

Our facility has the Broviac dressing change kits.

On the PICC's, we use tagaderm dressings.

We use biopatches on all central lines, this includes femoral A-lines.
