I'm in too. Taking biology for health sciences majors. Basically it's just intro to bio, but people who aren't majoring in the field take environmental biology or something like that.
Anyway, I'm in the same boat, havn't taken biology since my freshman year of college. Almost 20 years ago. I've heard my professor is really good, but hard. (based on reviews from ratemyprofessor.com).
my last biology class was when i was a freshman h.s has been 14yrs ago. needless to say, i am excited and nervous back then i didn't do too hot in bio. i think it is going to be different this time around. all other classes so far have. i'm taking bio, human growth and development online, college algebra, and lifetime fitness. so good luck to everyone, if anyone wants to be study buddies let me know. thanks:D
I am going to my 2nd class on Friday and I am still really nervous, teacher is very specific in what she wants (not saying that is a bad thing) homework was to read a chapter and I was so confused by page 2, it was like I was in a chemistry class - I had to double check to make sure I was in Bio!!!
If anyone needs a refresher on the chemistry part, I'm so glad I bought the book "An Introduction to Chemistry for Biology Students" . It's really helping me a lot. It's a workbook that takes you step by step through all the atoms, molecules, neutrons, protons, etc. and puts them in simple terms so you can understand the concepts. I think it should be required for anyone taking a biology course, especially on the molecular level.
