I've tried various and sundry things over the years and, without exception, there has been some faction complaining the scoring is unfair because of xyz, regardless of pounds lost, laps walked, percent of body fat lost, minutes logged at the gym, yards mowed, naps taken, oxygen consumed, and on and on. Now I just sit back and watch when others try something.

We saw your hiney, OldDude. You don't have to lose weight.
Oh, and yes, we are still doing Pink Wednesdays! Thanks for asking!
I did it for 12 weeks in the fall and we are starting again this Friday. 15.00 buy in, weekly weigh-ins. We went by percentage lost and I used Biggest Loser at Work. This will do all the calculations for you; you just enter the weights. I emailed the group the chart each week except week 11 so the winners would be a surprise the last week.
I also sent encouraging emails and what I thought might be helpful links, for least once a week. The website itself has some nice information. I offered to do a brief meeting once a week to discuss problems but no one wanted to.
We had 16 people join, and about 8 saw it through. The winner got 160.00 and the second place winner got 80.00.
Good Luck!
