Bethel University Midwifery Program Fall 2021

Published

Good morning,

Just wanted to reach out and see if anyone else applied to Bethel University's Midwifery program for Fall 2021 and would love to find someone to share this journey with or locate someone with some insight into the program!

I applied for fall 2021 as well! Were you considering the 2 yr or 3 yr option?

Hi! Thats exciting!! Nice to meet you!! I think the 3 year because I will also be working. How about you?

I'd love to try the 2 yr but I have a 6 month old (who will be 11 months by the time we would start). I think I may be slightly out of my mind! I'm still not 100% sure. I love how helpful they've been throughout all of it! Have you submitted interview preference times yet? Are you local to MN?

Yes, I think 2 years would be too much for me also. I did submit my interview preference times and no I'm from Pennsylvania! Are you from MN?

And yes, they really have been great through this process!

We are currently in MD but I am originally from NJ! I used to travel for work and spent a ton of time in MN and love the cold! Do you know anyone who has gone through the program? Most of the people I know have gone through Frontier or Georgetown.

OK! No I don't know anyone who's gone through Bethel's program. I just have really liked the way the entire application process has been handled with Bethel! did get accepted and to Georgetown's program for Fall 2021 but am hoping to be accepted to Bethel bc I will most likely go with Bethel due to cost. Georgetown is too expensive for me to justify.

They really have been amazing! Georgetown is so expensive and I already have enough undergrad loans LOL!

Hi, I also applied for the 2021 Bethel CNM program and I found out yesterday I was waitlisted. I am really upset about it, but I didn’t really know what to expect either. It’s the only program I applied to, and was hoping for the best. I am an older RN (turning 40 this year) and I didn’t want to wait too long to go back to school.

I also loved the application process and working with Kari was a dream. I requested information from a couple other programs and I never even heard back from them. Kari told me that there are a total of 9 applicants on the waitlist and I could hear all the way up until August if I’m accepted. However, she couldn’t tell me where I was on the waitlist or how they choose who to accept from the waitlist.

I know it’s because my undergrad GPA was low, and I explained why in my interview. I think I interviewed very well and that’s why I was even considered. I know my stuff in OB and I have been doing OB only for 10 years and been an RN almost 15 years. I am up to date with AWHONN guidelines and read the ACOG practice bulletins. I’m just feeling a bit defeated. ? Words of encouragement are appreciated, thanks for listening !!

JennyBabyRN I really hope you hear something soon. The deadline for acceptance is Friday so hopefully someone will decline and you'll be able to grab their spot! Fingers crossed because you sound like an awesome addition to the program. ?

Mommy2sjb have you decided where you'd like to go? I accepted last week for the 2 year program (I think I'm out of my mind LOL but so excited).
