Beth Israel Nursing School NYC

Published

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????

I am still debating, although I'm almost sure the answer is BI. Just trying to figure out the last details. Will probably mail my check tomorrow.

Thanks for the info BabieRN.

Do any of you guys know how they give students the loan? I got both unsubsidized and subsidized Stafford loans and the nursing loan. Do they directly disburse the money to the school or mail it?

Sorry for the dumb question.. I've never done this before. :p

bp2244,

I haven't heard anything yet, but last night I dreamed I received a letter to schedule an interview....I don't know if that counts. I should call Ms. Cleo !!!

NurseRica,

It is disbursed directly to the school...

Thanks BabyRN1106! thanks to Triple As too :D

Good luck Honeycutts! I am sure you will hear something soon!

Nurse Rica, I am in a similar position as you with the loans etc, its the first time I have attended a US institution. I have applied for FAFSA and TAP, but can I ask what is the nursing loan you are talking about? Sorry if I am being obtuse!

In the packet they sent you.. there's an application for a nursing loan. Gives about $1800-2000 a year.

Ah! got it, thanks

So what, no one is writing anything anymore? Well, I'll start. Working on my loan/scholarship apps. A little confusing. Can anyone offer me some help privately?

Hi everyone - I got an email from the school concerning a Health Assessment/Checkup prior to the start of class. Does anyone know if there is a fee for this assessment, or for any immunizations? I checked the paperwork in the email and there is no mention of fees... However, I doubt they are free...

Hey Liz0105, there's no fee for the assessment. They'll do a PPD test, blood test, vaccines (Hep B, Varicella, Tetorifice) if you don't already have them, Ishihara color test, and they'll fit you for a N95 mask. Good luck with everything and congrats on getting into the program!
