Beth Israel Nursing School NYC

Published

Hey guys, I was just wondering if anyone applied to Beth Israel NYC for this coming Fall? I applied there and I really want to get in. I always wanted to go. If anyone knows if it's hard to get in, or what score they are looking for on the NLN exam that would be rally helpful. And is it true that the only start giving interviews in May????

Whoa what happened here.. :p

Anyway, Triple A's they told me the same thing because there's a lot of working people who wants the night and weekend program. Someone posted that there are 100 seats available but didn't somebody say its 120.. That poster also said that there's only been 20 people accepted. So on Monday they'll decide and add more people to that list..

I am so scared right now. I'm even having nightmares and can't sleep very well. Lol. 3 more days til decide!! Ahhh:anbd:

I know exactly how you feel, I too have been having nightmares.....this is so nerve racking.

Another question, on Monday, while the committee is making the decision on who to accept post interview, will they also be making decision on who to call for interviews then too?

here's the latest update i found out from the person who interviewed me today. about 900 people applied for program and about 20 people have accepted so far for a program which only has about 100 seats. as of right now, they have already interviewed about 40 people and have another 50 or so people left to interview. they are going to hold a meeting next monday to decide who to accept and review everyone's file who had already been interviewed.

we should all get our letters within the next two weeks i believe. good luck to all!

That's what I read from her. So I guess after that meeting. Theyll start calling the next 50 or so people to interview.

Nevermind.....I just called the school and was told the following.

At this time they are not sure how many students they are accepting for each program it all depends on the number of applicants accepted. However, they usually accept 100-120 applicants total.

The evening program is a little harder to get into beacuase of the amount of applicants wishing to be accepted.

On monday, the committee will meet to accept applicants that have already been interviewed and make a decision on who to call next. They will call in order of applicants with the highest NLN scores, Previous GPA and letter of recomendation.

If you were told that your file has been sent to the committee, you should receive a response from the school in the next 2weeks.

Triple A's,

Thanks for the info....where have you been? I always think of you when you're away. Future nurses, keep the faith. All accepted applicants will not choose to attend PBISON. I've read of people being accepted as late as July in other posts.

your welcome honeycutts....I am sure they are getting annoyed with me calling as often as I've been.

I've been studying for the RHIA exam which I take in june, combine with my daughter's graduation coming up, I've been quite the busy bee :D.

How are you? Is your daughter ok? I read that you were in the hospital with her, sometime last week. Hope all is well.

I agree with you about keeping the faith, after doing the natural we must leave it to God to do the supernatural. Joel Osteen, said that at yankee stadium last month and that is what I am standing on.

Hi Triple A! I saw Joel Osteen at the Yankee Stadium too.

Triple A's,

Thanks for asking about Phoenix, she's fine.

Good luck on your test busy body :loveya:.

Hi Triple A! I saw Joel Osteen at the Yankee Stadium too.

Wasn't it amazing? I don't really care for alot of the preachers on TV, but there is something about Joel Osteen that gives me so much hope. He is very inspirational :loveya:.

Specializes in ICU.
liz0105 - welcome. Do you mind if I ask what your NLN scores were (composite and AD)? Also, which program are you applying for.

Good Morning Future Nurses,

Just wanted to say Thank You to all who responded to my previous concerns about my missing NLN score reports. Long story short I never got them. Unfortunately I did get my rejection letter from PBISN yesterday I must have stared at that damn envelope for an hour but since I did not get an interview after almost a month after testing i figured I did not get in....In the letter they suggested NLN prep classes so I guess my scores were not so hot......Well nothing else to do but keep it moving, I am so mad at my self for not applying to other schools but lesson learned. I wish the Best of Luck to all still waiting on decisons. My wait is over now its time to dust myself off and start another journey.....Best of Luck & success to All of you !!!!!

Thank You Again :-)

Nynatv25,
