Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone was applying to Beth Israel this fall or next Jan? Has anyone had an interview yet?
I have an interview with them next Thursday and was wondering if someone could give me an idea of how the interview process goes? This is my first choice school and really want to make sure I do everything I can to better my chances.
I was scheduled for the Open House back in Feb but had a last min. emergency so I missed it. I went in and personally handed in my application on Mar 1st. ( cutting it really close... i know). While there I spoke with Mrs. "*" and she was so helpful and nice. I also spoke with a male student who was playfully bugging her at the front desk and he was so cool. He told me about the teachers, the program, described his experience and says he loves it. He is part of the student government and was really helpful in answering some of my questions as well as Mrs. *.
So I would love to hear from other applicants. Has anyone applied to other schools besides Beth Israel? How do you feel about the PAX exam? (for those who have taken it or about to take it) Are you still waiting to hear from them or have you heard anything?
Also, if any current students could provide their take on the program, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and good luck to everyone!
in my acceptance letter, they only gave me two weeks to respondi'm still waiting to hear back from other schools which won't get back to me until mid-April (possibly past their deadline) and now i'm half freaking out becauase I'm not sure what i should do at this point..
i think part of the reason they ask you what other schools you've applied to is to also let those other schools know that you're going to beth israel after you've submitted the deposit..
Did the letter state how much the deposit is and if it has to be sent back with the response?
So now I'm kind of in tough spot. I applied to dorothea hopfer and am scheduled to take the teas on 4/13. And I'm sure its going to take at least 2 weeks after to that get any word from them. I might not have enough time to consider the two if I only get 2 weeks after receiving the acceptance letter. I wanted to compare the finanical aid packages before I decide. Beth Israel is my absolute first choice but I still wanted another option just in case.
If I don't have to send in a deposit with my response then I'm ok.

The deposit amount is $200 (nonrefundable). My issue is that I've applied to BSN programs and I'm still waiting to hear back from at least 6 schools. I don't mind losing the deposit if I end up not going. However, I do not want to lose my chance to be considered for the BSN programs. I already have a Bachelor's degree and Beth Isreal is my "safety" in the event that all the other BSN progams reject me.
I went in on on 3/28 for the interview. I was told that the committee was meeting on 4/2 and to call the next day so only a few days.. it all depends on when you interview and the next time the committee meets.
Congrats on the interview!!! Did you get a tour of the labs and classrooms? It was pretty cool.
