Guys, I take my test Thursday. I still feel really shaky on Pharm despite finishing the entire Kaplan Qbank. Any recommendations for how I can do some last minute brushing up? Thank you in advance!

The NCSBN learning extension RX flashcard app was really helpful for brushing up on pharm, and its free! Also, if you have access to practice question programs like ExamMaster, Saunders, Davis Q&A, etc..you can select pharmacology as a topic and do practice questions just on pharm. I found doing practice questions and reading the rationales more helpful than simply reviewing, but it depends on your learning style.
Hope this helps!
Perfect, thank you! I'll probably continue with questions with a Pharm focus, like you suggested. It's just too daunting to attempt to look over EVERY med. I'll check out that free app you recommended!

There are an overwhelming number of men's out there. I actually went to pharmacy school and practiced for a few years before going to nursing svhool. When I took pharmacology in pharmacy school, they taught us the class of drug. For example, NSAIDS, glucocorticoids, etc. We learned the general actions, indications and side effects and then they listed the prominent drugs in that class. There were many times in my nursing career when I was vaguely familiar with the specific drug but I knew the class and that helped a lot. I am now tutoring for the next and the students seem very confused and unsure about meds. They know the nursing skills so we are focusing on pharmacology.
Know your drug classes.

Hi i failed my 1st attempt nclex pn 7months ago. Its difficult for me because i went to nursing school, then had to stop halfway because they didnt have financial aid.it took me 3 years to go back and finish in march 2014. What advice would you give someone like me,to be able to pass nclex?im depending mostly on mastery app now and barely studied from the resources i studied in my 1st attempt.any feedback is appreciated, thanks so much
I agree, it is pretty much impossible to look over every med! I will tell you though that I did see medications I recognized on the NCLEX from doing the flashcards on the free app and practice questions. Did I always know what those meds did--NO! Haha but I knew I had seen them before

If you get asked a med question you know nothing about, choose the killer answer. ðŸ˜ðŸŒš
