Best travel companies

Published

I'm sure this has been discussed a million times before, but do people have suggestions for good travel nursing companies to work with? I'm starting to think about taking my first travel job and see so many mixed reviews of different companies.

Getting confused. I work in an ambulatory surgery setting, all ortho at the present but have general surgery experience too. Thanks

Please stay away from AYA Healthcare! They are scam artists! They tried to find me work for six months and could never meet my current pay rate as a local traveler near my home town. When I told them that I was going to do work with AllAboutStaffing, they sent me threats of sending me a bill! The way they worded the emails was completely unprofessional. Then, about three months later I did get a bill for $850!

I love AAS!

Aya Healthcare, used to be known as Access Nurses, (the one with the "Reality Show about Travel Nurses". Went bankrupt, now is Aya. Still the same. I just turned down a contract ib Cali. poor communication with Recruiter, Travel Liason", was supposed to start Monday...never got a move in date, Got a call yesterday, from back office people telling me I needed , Immunizations, paperwork, been working on this for 2.5. weeks, was told by recruiter, I was good to go, and then all this pops up???? told them I wasnt going to be there, Gut Feeling ya know, was told I would have to pay for all the physical, shots and MAB course, I pay they reimburse, Yeah Right.... just got off the phone with the acct. Manager, got all the "we'll do everything to make it right. Told her Nope, not gonna be there , then I got the threats , Money and such... and the best??? she didn't even know my name...kept calling me Chad. Stay away from them

When one talks to a recruiter, do you ask for salary to be seperate from housing and so on? That way you know your true hourly rate? Also do you have wrote in you want X days on the floor with a orentation?

I am just curious.

When I get submitted for a Job, I have already asked the recruiter, what is my take home, every week or every two weeks, AFTER Housing ,or stipend is taken out, basically after every thing is taken out. If you work in California, ask what is your Blended rate. Some Hospitals pay on a blended rate, where everything over 8 hours is time and one half.

The thing you have to realize there is no "FREE" Housing. The best way to get a set # of orientation days is to ask for it to be included in your contract. And when you get your Contract, READ it all. And if they won't put it in, go somewhere else. As a wise man said, "This isn't personal,it's just business"

Neal Roberts at Liquid Agents is just the most amazing recruiter in this universe. You know the 15+page application most agencies want you till fill out online? Every job, immunization, supervisor that you have had since you were 12? Neal does all this on the phone. 20 minutes of your time as opposed to several hours, and he will break his little neck trying to find what will best suit you, the nurse, not the money guys or the hospitals.

Neal totally stands behind his nurses, keeps frequent contact, makes sure you have all your stuff when you need it, and will negotiate with the hospitals on your behalf the very minute he learns it is needed. (I'm not kidding- I've been on the phone with him when he's done this) Just the sweetest man in the whole history of the world, living or dead, to work with.

If you want to travel, you should call him immediately before the rest of the world finds out about him and you are stuck with a poor imitation. I found him relatively early and am most thankful. I'll be glad to offer anyone a referral, as long as I get to keep him.

I am Christen Reynolds from Tennessee, so tell him I sent you and everyone will be happy.

I'll tll him ya'll said hey

This is for the person who suggested that we contact a specific recruiter at Liquid Agents. How long have you been working through Liquid Agents? Before I call a recruiter I would like to be really sure I am calling the right one. Thanks!

I have been with Liquid Agents only for a couple of months. I moved there after trying out a couple of different ones, and I have found Neal to be the most professional, go-the-extra-mile recruiter I have ever come in contact with. His agency was able to get me to a specific location that I wanted, for a time length that I wanted, so when I called them, Neal was who I got, and I have been very pleased with him.

Thanks! Glad things are working out so well for you. perhaps I will contact neal when I am ready to travel!

Anyone work/worked for or have knowledge of Nurse Pro in Houston Tx

I work with Cross Country. But it is not just about the company. It is all about finding the right recruiter. I have the best recruiter in the world. I have tried smaller companies but NO ONE gets me where I wanna go like my recruiter. Best wishes

Looked at a few companies and Cross Country was the only one with something I was interested in. Have any advice before I apply..... Pros and/or cons? Thank you.

Does anyone know about Advantage? That is who I have contact with online.

Yes I was with Advantage or should I say take advantage they will tell you one thing and right before i was to fly out to my assignment changed my housing all together stating I would have to pay out of pocket. Then after finishing the contract with them and extending the hospital hired too many travelers and advantage told me I would have to call in daily to see "if my shift was good" well I was contracted for 48 hours a wee guranteed and those words weren't worth the paper they were written on. So I came home early and they rewarded me by witholding my last paycheck for 48 hrs of work stating it was to pay off the housing I was in. If you want no support when you need them the most and no one tohave your back i suggest Advantage or as i say take advantage.
