Who is the best president in terms of healthcare professionals will benefit the most from? I dont' care about other social/economic policies they might have; I'm focusing about which president is best for us?
Bernie Sanders wants Free, Universal healthcare so is that good for us? Or will that lower our salaries or keep them the same?
Trump wants to get ride of Obamacare ASAP. Is Obamacare in favor of healthcare professionals or is that worse of us? I'm not to familiar with Rubios/Cruz/Carson's policies so I won't say anything, but if you know, then feel free to contribute!

There are so many different things that influence nursing salaries that I don't think who's president will have any great effect. There's cost of living, supply vs. demand, and so many other things.

Don't get me wrong...several problematic issues are associated with the Affordable Care Act, a.k.a. ObamaCare. However, my current position as an RN case manager for a major insurance company was actually created in the past year due to ObamaCare-related expansions.

You would think that if we had universal healthcare enacted that it would increase the need for all medical staff everywhere. The influx of the newly insured would place demands on the healthcare system and more staff would be needed to handle that influx which would likely increase salaries.
Also universal healthcare would end the need for nurses to stay in jobs where they are unhappy just for the health insurance which would mean working conditions could improve.
If we get rid of the ACA entirely we will have a decrease in job availability due to a decrease in the amount of people insured. This would lead to less need for nurses and likely lower salaries.
We could also lose coverage for pre-existing conditions and coverage for our children until they are twenty-six years of age if the ACA is ended. This will hurt many people including you if you ever want to change jobs which usually involves changing insurance too.

When (IF?) we achieve Medicare For All everyone regardless of age or pre-existing conditions will have the same health insurance.
The VA could accept and be paid for the care of all veterans.
This is almost two years ago regarding salaries in healthcare:
