I have recently applied for a 2 year nursing program to become an RN. The program doesn't start until April 2010 but I need to take the NET to see if I make it into the program. I am really nervous and need some advice! I want to buy a book to practice but I want to make sure I get the best one available because there are so many out there! And any other advice you can offer!
Thank you very much!!!

sarah-
You might want to check with your school. In AZ, we were just informed that they may be switching to the TEAS. When I spoke with an advisor, she told me it was because ERI (who created the NET) has been bought out by another company and that company does not plan to continue the NET. If this is true, then the NET will be phased out every where, I would think.
Just trying to save the study hassle if your school might be switching

THE ERI NET Test Study Guide book is what I found the most helpful in studying for the NET. It has many practice tests in the book that will really help......

I am so glad to have come across this forum. My school just told me that they may no longer be using the NET but they wouldn't tell me what they would be using as a replacement and I want to start studying as soon as possible. Now I know that NET is out of the question and I really should study for the TEAS.
You could go the public library for books on the entrance exams and there are online tools you can use. Also going to your local bookstore has tons of books. You could use the library or online to read reviews on which books are better. I hope that helps.
