KAPLAN COMPLETE LIVE LECTURE COURSE WAS MY MAIN STUDY FOR MY NCLEX-RN. I PASSED THE FIRST TIME WITH 75Q AND I THOUGHT I FAILED FOR SURE... BUT I DIDN'T!!

Hesi nclex-rn review (reviews all important & most commonly tested topics on the nclex!)
Kaplan strategies for the nclex 07-08 (teaches how to break down the question and eliminate untill you get the correct A)
NCLEX-RN review by ALICE STEIN (the questions are very very challenging at the end of the book, did not read book)
Listened to HELEN FEUER live lecture CD's + did their practice questions... (not a book, but was helpful)
Flashcards for nclex-rn (small book of questions, I had it with me everywhere I went)
I studied for 3 months because I wanted to make sure I did everything to pass the first time around. The test is way too expensive for me to be taking it more than once. Specially here in FL.
I suggest studying for at least 5 hours everyday, no matter what the day is. Schedule your study time, and don't make other plans during your study time.
My friend who failed has not changed one bit. She is still meeting friends for lunch, and found a job working at a home goods store.
She doesn't have any kids, and just lives with her husband.
we all have responsabilities, I have a baby, I have a husband, I had a job working as an assistant while I was studying for boards. And I did it.
I gave up a lot, I hardly spent time with my husband, I didn't go to the mall or movies... nothing that I concider fun... I spent every minute I could studying. The only days that I took off was when I went to work because I would come home tired.
while the baby slept during the day and night I would study.
sometimes when I could I would drop the baby off at my mom's and I would go to the kaplan center and stay there untill I met my daily "quota" of questions or reading.
I also made a check list.
