Best housing near Keck USC Hospital

Hello everyone. I will be going on my very first travel assignment in LA. So far the process is ok but I am getting frustrated with arranging housing. I decided to receive the stipend over company housing. I currently live in Florida and I'm doing all of my research through google and Craigslist. If anyone has any advice on where to look or any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Thank you

They make you do 26 because hardly anyone extends!

Hey! I'm going to be on assignment at Keck in the next couple weeks.... where you able to find affordable housing? How's Keck? I'm looking for housing now but I'm not having the best of luck either...

I am currently at USC Keck, and I have to say my experience has been a relatively positive one on the floor. All the fellow RN's are VERY nice and VERY helpful; I've noticed this especially when I've floated. There have been some hiccups from an administrative standpoint, but this is also my first travel assignment so I wasn't expecting it to be perfect. I was having issues with an overstaffed unit and being cancelled far over the maximum they are allowed, but when I requested to be transferred so that I could actually work my scheduled hours they were very receptive to it. I too was initially offered 26 weeks, but I requested 13 and they were accommodating to that as well. Going somewhere closer to the beach next, but for a first-time traveller experience, I would say I've heard stories about worse assignments.

What unit is considered your main floor? 5N is considered my main unit but since were float pool I've been on multiple floors.
