Best hospitals in Tulsa area

Top hospitals in Tulsa: St. John and St. Francis are two of the best hospitals around. Both are in very nice areas and have many specialties available. If you'd like some more information about them, visit The St. John Health System is Tobacco Free for St. John and Saint Francis Health System for St. Francis.

Other area hospitals include Hillcrest Medical Center, which has a very nice new women's center and has the most deliveries in the state. Hillcrest has a level 3 NICU available as well. Tulsa Regional Medical Center is the teaching school for Oklahoma State University.

To the south of Tulsa, there's SouthCrest, a relatively new and growing hospital. They have a nice delivery center and a thriving heart center. They opened in 1999, have all private rooms, and room service (someone got HOspital and HOtel mixed up somewhere along the line :rolleyes: ).

Across the street from SouthCrest Hospital is St. Francis Heart Hospital. It's a heart only ED, and it's supposed to be state of the art.

The other specialty hospital I'm coming up with at the moment is Tulsa Spine Hospital. It's located south and west of Tulsa (near Riverside Airport, and RVS is across from the old City of Faith now CityPlex towers). It's south of Tulsa off highway 75. They deal with spinal issues.

There are a few hospitals outside of the city. Owasso, a very nice growing suburb of Tulsa, now has a new hospital owned by St. John. I've lived in Owasso and would love to live there again. I really miss it.

Since I've posted, I see they've added some new spiffy URL's to the hospitals.

I would also like to add that Hillcrest is tobacco-free as well, starting, last week. I would like to add that I work as a doula in L&D, and I have to say that's a nice place to work. Sometimes it gets a little wild, but it's a great place. I also work in NICU and I've found that unit to be a great, well-knit unit.

I had someone offer me that once and it sounded like a pretty good deal. I've been at St John for 3 months now and love it. There are good floors and non-so-good floors, just like anywhere else though. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Lana beat me to it, but there is also Cancer Treatment Centers of America (which is in a good location in south Tulsa) as well as OHO, Orthopedic Hospital of Oklahoma which, if it's still there, is located in the ORU CityPlex Towers (not affiliated with ORU).

If I remember other specialty hospitals I'll add them. :)

Saint Francis Heart hospital is offering $100 Target gift cards to all qualified nurses who interview (heard the ad on the radio today!) So if you're in the area you might want to try to interview with them just for that! They recently announced that the hospital will be absorbed by Saint Francis in the next year and I think the current facility is supposed to become part of Saint Francis Broken Arrow. So if you were working there they would probably let you transfer internally.
