i have to get a new pair of shoes to wear to clinicals when they start and i was just wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good brand?
thanks
I have worn just about everything a man can wear, but my choice for the past 5-6 years has been..Dr Scholl's !! They only cost 25$ @ Wal-Mart, have great support(gellin like a felon), and in 3-4 months I demote them to knockaround status. Then when I demote the next pair, they become my yardmowing shoes. I am a real advocate of taking good care of my feet, but I don't feel the need to impress anyone. Whatever you choose, make sure fashion is the least of the purchase factors.
I have Dansko, professional clogs, and while they are really comfy, I and several of my colleagues keep rolling our ankles in them so I amlooking for a new shoe as well. Anmyone have experience with quarks?
I was concerned about that too and the Danskos that I got were from the professional line and they were a style that had a slightly wider/athletic sole (not the wedge)... I'm not sure if they still have them or not (I can't remember the style name)??
I just looked up Dansko's professionals on zappos.com and they have 5's (they use European sizes, but they have the equivalent - (35). Alot of people order up a size if they aren't sure or are in between - I got both since I wasn't sure and sure enough the bigger of the two worked.
I'm sorry, I should of mentioned the "Mary Jane" style, they don't come in size 5, or at least not at the sites I have looked at, but I will try a different brand and see if that works.
Thank you for the suggestions
Darlene
Merrells made me feel like i was walking barefoot on rough cement.
Birkenstocks left blisters on my arches, were uncomfortable althogether, and i don't buy the "my feet ached for a week, but i had to break them in" crap.
Danskos were ok for support, but not in the slip-resistant category, not to mention that heel. Plus, not much flexiability.
Nursemates should be sued for having the word "nurse" attached to their name. They are the most uncomfortable shoes i've ever slid on.
(I wear Crocs)
Point being, what works for some doesn't work for others, and most peopel have to go through a few pairs of different shoes before they find THEE pair for them.

You might try Birkenstocks--they have wide widths. I used to wear
Birkies, but am now a Dansko fan--I found the Birkies too wide, so you might love them.
