I need to order my first book about nursing. What's the best one that describes the exact nature of nursing...all the job options....etc?
Nobody's read a good nursing book? :stone

what i enjoy doing is going to barnes and noble and strolling through the medical section. there are tons of great books there on a variety of topics. nursing memoirs, surgeon stories, reviews, you name it.
enjoy!

There are many good nursing books, it would be difficult to recomend one that covers everything that you will need to know. I always have a look at the recommended reading list given by which ever school you are going to attend and then visit a book shop and have a look at them to see which one suits your needs best. I really don't think there is one single book that will cover it. I have a bookcase full of nursing and medical books each one well read in different sections depending on what I needed at the time.

There was a book I recieved in my first semester of college when I was intending to go through a BSN program. It was by Pfizer, it was on Nursing and different careers. It was very informative, and I still have it. Yet I don't know if they sell it. I'll look at the ISBN number and see if they do. I'll get back to you.
