Best area to reside if working at Banner Thunderbird Medical

Published

Hie AZ nurses

I really need help in deciding which areas would be best to live/reside in, if one would be working at Banner Thunderbird MC?. I see from the address it says Glendale but when I look at the actual map it is on Thunderbird Road which is way off from the spot it says Glendale looking at the map. So I really need help from anyone familiar with the areas and hospitals.

Which would be best commuting-wise?

And which areas are family friendly?

And safe?

And affordable?

The main big factors would be safety and commuting time.

Thank you very much for your time.

Banner Thunderbird is IN Glendale.

I can't give you any specific areas, as I'm in the east valley ..... but if I worked at Thunderbird I'd be looking to live in the Glendale/north west valley area.

the area surrounding banner thunderbird is nice. if you go farther northwest, the houses are more expensive (the arrowhead/peoria area). just east of the hospital south and north are a little bit more reasonable. there are many apartments in that area, as Arizona State University west is there and thunderbird business college. the schools are pretty good near the hospital from what i understand.

i think you're safe anywhere around the hospital. glendale/peoria are good.

Do not pick "old Glendale" to reside in. There is a lot of gang activity. I would say do not live south of Cactus. Avoid anything on Glendale Ave or within one mile of it unless it is east of Central. If all the billboards are in Spanish and the strip malls are Spanish only, do not live there. If you see gang writing on neighborhood fences and sides of buildings, do not live there.
