Anyone apply for the RN evening program starting this coming spring 2014??? I did and am a little sad at my Hesi score. I want to know what others have scored...
Hi ladies!! I also made it into the evening program for bergen and am so excited ( and a little scared) to start. Wondering if anyone had issues registering... When I try to register it tells me that I need a bio pre req which I got transferred in from another school... Anyone else having problems??.
I hate this school, I can't tell you how much wrong information I hear from counselors and employees here. Under the nursing section of the form it asks for insurance info, the medical office told me I need private insurance, they even told me to go to healthcare.gov to get it.
I'm sure they are wrong, like everything else. I remember the counselors telling me I didn't need CPR for Nursing, I was going to take it here at school, but listened to them. I'm going to double check tomorrow when I go to school and hand in the acceptance form, and pick up my vaccine records.
I also enjoy how they say no vaccine exemptions for health students, even though the state of NJ allows exemptions.
I hope we don't need health insurance... we have so much on our plates already.
I haven't had any issues with registering. I signed up for 601, but I got my acceptance letter and a couple sheets of information on saturday and it said that I had to be signed up for 601 and only 601. I think this is similar to what happened to Bsocarras before when she had to sign up for 602.
Anyway I'm going in to school today to ask a bunch of questions- if I get any interesting or needed info, I'll share.
I called again and was told personal health insurance is needed as the clinical sites require it. The lady told me you can get a basic accident health policy which I found online for about $19-$25/mo. The website is: http://www.ehealthinsurance.com/accident-insurance/find-coverage/?action=changeCensus (change info if mine pops up) make sure you select: American General Accident Expense Plus $500
As some others are Accidental Life Insurance policies, so be careful at the one you select. You can also wait for a week or two to find out if the school is going to offer medical insurance again. I will try to reconfirm this again, but as of right now it seems like we need personal health insurance.
I had so much to do at the school I forgot to ask about personal health insurance.
I know it's really nothing compared to health insurance, the white shoes and wrist watches don't have to be purchased at Belle Uniforms. Also, their 2 garment minimum is just a whole top + bottom. They don't require us to get a second pair (completely optional).
