  1. Yes I notice that about the clinicals, wow @JamieL0603 you're done so that's one way to solve that problem :) I'm going to have to work 8-4pm on those days, 5:30 is pretty early
  2. I'm in too, however the clinicals might be 5:30, does anyone work and how does that work out for you guys
  3. Hi there, I didn't have to take A&P but there were a few A&P questions in the Bio section so yes it was challenging, this test is NOT easy, it is for real and I used all of that 4 hrs we had. The vocab, grammar and reading comprehension were not a walks in the park either and I'm good in English, they made me sit up and pay attention. The math, not bad but tedious and took about an hour to finish. All in all, study for this like 3 mths out, that's my best advice if you want to cream it.
  4. Since no one has posted...I'll go ahead, just did he HESI hoping to get into Bergen Community College and although it was a challenge, the test was not easy peasy...I managed to get 93, fingers crossed. The Bio was challenging, be prepared to access your long term storage memories for that, the reading comprehension, long and overall, I used every bit of that 4 hrs. Good luck to all, this was not easy though.
  5. You get the grades right away as soon as you are done, as for the Bio - easy! ha hardly anything came from the study guide! I had to pull Bio from years of memory to rock that out. Be prepared, studying for this test days in advance or even a week or 2 is NOT enough. As for the reading, correct, too much and too many same answers, tricky. I managed to do pretty well, good luck to everyone sitting!
  6. Ah thanks for this, well I want to do the RN pause, maybe get paid to take the BSN and move on so by the time the whole turn-over happens hopefully I would have the BSN oh boy what a road I'm taking :) Thanks for the clear up though, just getting nervous. I've already got a BA but in Radio/TV and can't do the fast track program due to the job constraints and the GPA is literally .01 point off
  7. Hello I wasn't sure where to post this but this is a quick question from a prospective nursing student to a 2 year college, I've been hearing that more hospitals are angling for 4 year degrees as they try to become "magnets" is it fruitless to go after the 2year RN and what really is the difference and can I work with then pause after the 2yrs RN and then go back for BSN? Just curious with all this shifting in the market place.
  8. Only nursing school!!! lol This is everywhere in the world these people, wait 'til you get to work...shoot! I'm just embarking but Lord knows I've been through the gammut of these characters. This is a great share though!
  9. Questions answered! Yes your journey sounds like how mine is about to be - but I've to get started on the prereqs so I'll start there. Thanks for all the info. I could do all days on Sats because I'd have to race outta here to make it for the clinicals at 5:30 or just leave here at 4:30ish - yes it really sucks now BUT the end result will be worth it. I am planning to go over to the College to take a look around and speak to someone about getting started, I need to start taking some classes to get this ball rolling pronto. Thanks so much for your feedback, its been very helpful!
  10. Ok I also work in NYC but I live in Jersey and just wanted to know how feasable it would be to go there, I was actually going to do LPN and bridge but how feasable is this if you work, like what are the part time hours - just curious. Thanks for the input, really psyched about this.
  11. Thanks do you know anything about the night/p.m. program or is it best that I just go over there and speak to a guidance counselor there and is it worth taking the classes only to not know if you've gotten in. Just curious on how it works - like per se, what was your journey to getting there and Congrats on graduating in May! Job well done
  12. Looking to embark on a career change and go for the RN program here, have an Associates & Bachelors but its been 14yrs and want to know how hard it is to get in and anything else I need to know - anyone want to share about this school and the program. Thanks!
