Does any one work in the E.R. at Ben Taub Hospital of Houston or had clinicals there? I am interested in working in the E.R. and wanted to know how it is at Ben Taub or just in the E.R. period. Never worked in E.R. before. Just want to know what you think of the hospital's ER because I am interested in trauma. Please let me know. Thanks!

Ben Taub is not just an ER it's a level 1 ER. Very busy place to work! I actually work in the sister hopital of Ben Taub. It seems a lot of RN's like it there. You have to be able to work fast and work under pressure!

I had clinicals at ben taub for almost 2 yrs. and one of my best experience was clinicals in the ER, I loved it, it's fast pace and full of stretchers, except for the shock rooms, where u just get 1 pt. at a time.

I know of someone who worked at Ben Taub when she first got out of nursing school. She then decided to work at a smaller ER closer to home in a smaller town north of Houston. She got bored very quickly and went back to Ben Taub and works there today. I think it's great when you find your niche.
