hi, i am currently a pre-nursing student and i just passed my CNA test...i am really interested in pursuing a career in the NICU after graduating nursing school and i was just wondering...do they need CNAs in the NICU...or anything pertaining to help? i am not sure because I have never heard anything about it...does anyone have any info about this? and if so, how do you go about getting the job?

The NICUs I have worked in don't use CNA's. We use volunteers to cuddle babies, though. Some NICUs might use CNA's, just call some and ask. Good luck!

The NICU that my mother works in uses PCT's, but I know that most of them have been there for years, so it might not be the easiest position to get.
