No- they were just official reference letters, from my job (starbucks...) and the hospital I volunteer at. I definately just read about the reference forms earlier today, so it was probably a total waste of paper handing them in. Hopefully it can't hurt, though!

And, I also feel like I've been waiting forever!

Does anybody know if you have to provide documentation for completing Libs 7001 and 7002? Or will administration already have it on file when they are looking at our applications?

Hi everyone!

I've also been obsessively creeping these forums so I thought it was time to actually join:) A little about me...

I've got 90 post secondary credits, I'm a volunteer with CNIB, have done ESL mentoring (helping ESL students improve their reading and writing) and have volunteered on a crisis line for the past year.

Does anyone know if they take into account your high school grades? I was a pretty good student before I slacked off in post-secondary (boo!)

Wishing everyone luck for the January 2013 intake and I hope to see you guys there!

Hi Chhun!

You can always contact the nursing department and write them a short letter describing what you just did and in this way they will keep in touch with student records. This is what I did! Hope this helps:)

Hi Pepsi! lol

Yes, they do look at your High school grades, however, if you did not meet the high school requirements you could take some equivalent courses that they offer at BCIT or anyt other colleges and universities. I know quite a few people who have done that.:)

Wish u all luck!

It will take a couple of days for your information to get into the system. They will send you an email to your BCIT account once they processed your application. Was it just your high school transcript and resume that you handed in?

Do you have an account for MYBCIT? You are required to have a student number and a password. They should send you a letter with your student number if you do not have it now. Once you are logged in, to the right of the page "online self service" will provide you with the information of your account, application, personal information etc. Above that there is an icon "email & calender" where you can check the messages that BCIT has sent you. Also, there is a section "myCommunication" under online self service that is important. They will send you messages/info about your application. Hope that helps.

i received an email today in my BCIT email, advising winter 2013 is full and closed and they are not accepting any applicants at all. i am assuming they had enough from august 2012 and filled it immediately? i have an application opened for spring/summer 2013 under my communication, but i was under the impression, they only have a fall and winter intake. did anyone else receive this email? what does that mean?

Could it be you missed the deadline? That's strange cuz I just checked and I didn't get that an email like that. (I hope I am not speaking too soon) :S

But I spoke with the program advisor lady on July 18, she said the admissions dept was just starting to go through the applications they received from May.
