BCC Nursing Fall 2017

Hey guys! Wanted to start a thread for those applying for Fall of 2017 at Bristol Community College! What other programs are you applying too? Traditional or eHealth? GPA and points? Can't wait to hear about everybody else. I've read all of the other years threads and I must say I'm so happy to finally be able to be involved in one! So excited for everybody! Can't wait to hear from you.

My new fear is that they never received my application, so I went to the admissions office today to make sure they have it. Who am I kidding, this is my third time making sure they have it!:arghh: The status of the application was pending so guess they still have not made a decision. The woman said decisions will be made in the next week or two. I don't think this is new information though so sorry! Maybe it is wishful thinking, but my gut is telling me mid next week we will find out.

I forgot to ask if degreeworks definitely changes if you get in. I don't really understand why it does because what if you are graduating with another degree in May or decide not to go to BCC? I would think they would wait to change it until after you send in deposit...

Probably because degree works is a tool for you to use on your own, to track your degree path. I just finished my health sciences degree this past fall. So technically I'm not in any program right now even though I'm taking Micro. So mine right now in says "Non-Degree". Sort of like I'm starting from scratch on a new degree. It will definitely change if you get in, if it changes you would see it 1st thing the morning after because I believe they do updates overnight.

I'm not sure if my post came out right. I meant to say they probably just change it so that you can see exactly what you need to take and can track your degree path. I would bet if you decline it, which people do I guess...they remove it immediately. Or if you don't pay the deposit by the deadline they'll drop you and again it will be removed... I just checked on mine and was told my application status is "pending" -- don't know if that's good or bad.

Your degree works does change when they accept you. I was accepted to BCC 2 years ago and I remember checking it at dinner and I ended up breaking my glass of beer because I was so excited. LOL!!! But I'm shocked that they're sending the acceptance notifications this early because when I applied, we heard close to Spring break... Well its almost that time as I look at the calendar LOL... I've been checking degree works like a nut as well!! The anticipation is killing me more and more this time around!

It's earlier than the last time you applied because the deadline used to be February, two years ago they changed the deadline to January. That's why last year found out the second week in February, and the year before in the end of February. That's why we're all going crazy, we know it's coming any day now lol

Just realized you said two years ago. Not sure, why yours was later? Maybe it takes a decent amount of time to change everybody's? Everyone I know from 2 years ago heard in February

Hi guys! SO I caved and I called and they said that the letters will be out no later than February 28!!!!!

I know a total of 7 people who are in the program in their second year, and who are finishing their first year now, and they were all notified before the end of February so it's coming soon for us!

Ahhhhh!!! I just want to skip the days!! Lol Good luck ladies!! God willing we will all be crossing the stage together as RN's in 2018!!!
