Bayonne School of Med or Holy Name Hospital?

You are soo lucky you got a call to start last semester! I was hoping id get a call.. oh well.. im very excited to start in August. I actually can't wait, i know it will be alot of hard work but Im ready.. What was your first semester schedule like? I have all the pre-reqs done so I will just be taking the nursing classes. Do you recommend anything? Like study books, or supplies, or anything to prepare me? Thanks!

I dont remember which study guide I had for the TEAS but it was whatever one HNH recommended. I ordered through the website. It also has a science part on it. Have you been scheduled for your test yet? I hope you get in.. Good Luck.. we'd be classmates! I am not staying at the dorms because I only live 15-20 min from the school

Yeah I was lucky :)!!! I had class on Mondays, Tues & Wedn clinicals bcuz i didn have to take any college credits...... ummmmm idk what to tell you...make sure you know ur anatomy if ur not so good with math practice dosage calculations, they are pretty easy tho but it wont hurt!!!!! do u have aim or messenger????

Lucky you to be staying close by school :))

I live in NY, so I hv to stay in dorm.

BTW, on the school website they stated that we hv to score everything higher than 70, is it true??

It's high, esp I forgot most of the science since I took it 4 years back.

I have Kaplan book so I guess I will stick to that book for review.

I dont know how much they follow the above 70%. I never saw my scores, they were never sent to me but the lady had them in my file when i interviewed.. When is your test? I heard that if you get a call for an interview its almost guarantee your accepted.

I am still in the process of sending in my applications

I completed my high school from other country and they want me to get my mark sheet evaluated by world edu service.

I have to pay $130 just for that.

I took most of the pre-nursing class though.

I will send in my application this week.

To the people that attend or attended Holy name: Did you take the class you need in order to get your associates? If so, what semester? Was it difficult to take with your other nursing classes?

In order to receive an associates from Holy Name you would need to take more than that one class. I think you need 27? college courses taken at Holy Name.
