Baylor Scott and White Grad Nurse Residency - Summer 2019

U.S.A. Texas

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone! Figured I'd start this thread. Just applied today. Good luck to everyone!

None of my friends who applied to the Dallas, Waco, and Temple locations have heard back yet so maybe they are just starting to call back people. One of my friends also spoke to the recruiter about applications and he said that those who applied by the 8th have priority as early applicants.

I applied right on the 1st hopefully i get a call back lol

Specializes in Med Surg.

One of my friends last year didn't get a digital interview and then an in person interview until the second week of March, so Im trying not to worry to much. She also said they like to wait until after the EXPOs to do interviews too. Hope this helps someone else's nerves too lol

That is reassuring. I applied the first

I just got a call from one of the recruiters named Dennis. He just asked my top specialties, locations, reminded me of the expo they’re having and that he’ll keep my info in touch with a manager. Praying for my top choice!

Hey guys! any updates on calls? I haven't received on yet. I'm hoping to relocate from Houston to the DFW area and I'm worried that puts me at a disadvantage bc I'm not local. I'm also wondering about the expo, can anybody explain to me what happens & how critical it is to getting an offer. I'm applying to places in Houston as well and there is an event on the same day at the same time for applicants to that hospital system so I am trying to decide which one to attend. I've heard the one in Houston is pretty critical to moving on to an interview - is it the same for this expo?

I’m applying from out of state and I haven’t heard a thing. I’m also applying in Houston which event are you referring to in Houston for which hospital?

Memorial Hermann - saying it's "critical" to moving on to an interview may be a bit dramatic but you do get to meet nurse managers etc so it's definitely a good idea to go if possible.

I think you would be ok if you didn’t attend the expo although it would be helpful. I know memorial is crucial, my friend went to one last time and got an offer.

Supposedly those that applied on the 1st got priority on being contacted. I got called last week, told them my interests and that for me to attend the expo for bsw

I applied there today but im in okc. Where is it and how did you find out about it. Idk how practical it is for me to drive all the way there. Is it mandatory?

I applied on the first and never heard anything. Da well. Good luck at the expo

Is the expo only for people who've heard back? It looks like an open event.

The expo says its “sold out” so I can’t sign up now regardless unfortunately.

@BabiNurseRN19 if you search “Memorial Hermann Pre-Match Day” on google you’ll find the page about it. I know about it bc I go to school in Houston so I know from the recent grads + I’m doing my clinical rotations with MH.
