Hi everyone! I know the application for the nurse residency program for BSWH opened up on 9/1/20 and figured that I would start a thread to update each other on it. Good luck

I feel like I'm at such a disadvantage moving to DFW after my graduation
Is is very hard to break into DFW when you are not from the area. I had a recruiter (not at BSWH) tell me that she wouldn't even look at applicants from outside of the area. Especially Peds. It is something that I have noticed as well so it is not just you!

That's not always the case. I'm moving to DFW after getting my ADN in the Central Texas area and have had two job offers from different hospitals already.
Hi everyone! I am still waiting to either get a rejection letter or an invite to interview... With that being said, does anyone else have ********** as their recruiter? I would like to reach out to him but I only have his phone number, not email. Should I go ahead and send a formal text or does anyone happen to have his email?? Thank you in advance. ?

Of course not, not every hospital is the same. It is just my experience and insight that those feelings are valid. Congrats on your offers!

I feel the same way. But I actually live in Louisiana. I'm just hoping that doesn't count me out because I'm fully committed to moving to Texas.

My thinking is most of the north Texas positions in L&D were already “reserved” for candidates who did their clinical rotations through those areas, hence the low number of positions available in this area.
