Baylor Scott White GN Residency Internship - Winter 2021 Cohort

Updated:   Published

Hi everyone! I know the application for the nurse residency program for BSWH opened up on 9/1/20 and figured that I would start a thread to update each other on it. Good luck

Hi all, has anybody heard back from Mclane Children's? I got an email from the recruiter 1.5 weeks after submitting the digital interview, and the recruiter asked about my units preference and said will be in touch with next steps in the following weeks? No phone interview yet tho... wonder what this email entails??

I haven't received any further communication since the invite for video interview.  I also choose womens services and I bet it's the most competitive since there are so many wanting in and not many spots available.

@NurseMel2020keep up with the hopes the recruiter said they should be in touch with us in the next few weeks!!

I applied for women's services. I have also not heard anything since the video interview. ?

Has anyone heard anything from pediatrics?

No! I didn't apply for pediatrics, but I have not heard anything regardless LOL has anyone heard back at all??

I haven't heard back yet either but think the applications just closed or are about to they have hundreds of those things to go through, plus the video interviews. I'm certain they have their work cut out for them..

I messaged them on facebook the other day and asked about when they would notify people for interviews and they said "they should know who is going into the next phase by early next week." Which is now this week. This was directly at the college station/brenham campus though.

Do you guys know if they will let us know if we aren't selected?  I don't want to be strung along like some of the other programs wait weeks and then are like nope we selected other people.  I have applied to several other programs just hoping maybe I'll get a chance somewhere. Certain nursing fields are just next to impossible to get in to and I've been trying to get there since 2014 when I started my nursing school career.  Yes it took forever to get my LVN then ADN then BSN.  With that being said, I am ready for something good to go my way!  Do you know if anyone at any campus has been hired?!

From what I understand, they will be sending out emails to candidates who aren’t selected. It is a good sign that nobody else going for women’s services has received a response either- means we’re still in the running. Switching specialties is tough, and I’m right there with ya!
