Baylor FastBacc 2012

Hey, anybody applying for Baylor's FastBacc program for 2012? I'm applying there as well as Brookhaven (to start Spring 2012)... I'm optimistic about Brookhaven but not as much about Baylor! For Baylor, my prereq GPA is 3.23 with a 3.5 in the sciences... cumulative HESI score of 90.64. Is there anybody who has turned in an application or is planning on it soon? I'm wondering about their application timeline too (i.e. when admission decisions will go out).

yes between this site and Baylors I feel like I have become a little more than obsessed with hearing some good news. I have a 3.7 and feel that it may not be enough to get in this year from seeing that last years waiting list started at 3.6. I wonder if they look at more than just the GPA and may take around 3.5's if they have a higher HESI score or what.Do you think they will update the Baylor site before we get the letters?

O and about Techs program, I believe there is some online but it isnt all of it. Sounded a lot like Baylors where you may have to listen to some lectures online.

Check the goBaylor site... from mine it looks like I got in??? Under the section "Application File" it says "Required items: Admission to the School of Nursing - Received on 15-NOV-11"

Who knows - maybe that just means letters went out the 15th??

Don't stress about it - that might not mean anything. In fact, it wouldn't make sense if it did, because my advisor told me it's against the law for them to tell us if we've been accepted or not except through the mail.

Ya but I'm sure that's not exactly like telling you! If its true then congrats! Would u mind telling me your stats like hesi and science, cumulative gpa?

HESI ended up a 91, science and cumulative gpa is about 3.5 (not sure of the exact numbers) ... my advisor did mention that they'd focus more on the Math & English portions of the HESI exam and I did very well on those... 98 on Math; cumulative English score of 95.

Hi everyone! I also applied for the 2012 fastbacc program & have been stalking my mailbox like crazy :) I also heard we should know by the end of November or early December ..hoping we know before thanksgiving. Please update on here as soon as any of you receive a letter & I'll do the same. I live in Dallas so as soon as they mail something I should get it the next day.

Please don't worry! I feel so bad now, getting you even more worried. Even if I did make it in, I'm really having trouble justifying 20 years of debt to get a BSN, when I have a door wide open to get my ADN and then bridge to BSN through UTA or Tech!
