I was just wondering if there is anyone else applying for the 2014 spring program. It's my first time applying to a nursing school so I'm excited! My HESI is overall average 86% (not that great) and overall gpa 3.7, also I'd be considered a transfer student. Hope to hear from ya'll!
Have you looked into scholarships, loans, or spoken to the financial aid advisor about this? Money is a huge factor though. I almost didn't apply because of that, but I honestly didn't think I'd get accepted either. I really was hoping to meet everyone from here, but in the end do what's best for you!
Crystal, I am sorry that u r undergoing this dilemma:facepalm: Be patient and try to figure out a way. Even I didn't know initially that the transfer student scholarship are only for students who acquire first degree. I was sad that didn't work out. This is my second degree too. Did u get some news from FAFSa.
Thanks for the encouragement guys!
I got some FA and some scholarship money from Baylor but it wasn't enough to cover everything. I am looking into a private loan but they scare me! :) Looks like I might have to just bite the bullet and go with one! I guess I will need to look harder for scholarships to cover the rest of the semesters.
Hope everyone had a great Christmas! I look forward to meeting each one of you! I got my situation figured out and I am excited to start the program in January.
Has anyone purchased their books from Majors? Bought your other supplies? I am going to try to go to majors tomorrow...would anyone like to meet at the bookstore and then maybe have some coffee? I know it is such short notice but I thought I would ask!
