Hey! I did not see a thread for nurses applying to Baylor's CRNA program for 2018 so I decided to start one.I am applying to Baylor and UTHSC - Houston for classes starting in 2018. I have been watching these blogs for three years now, and I cannot believe I am ready to apply. I think my stats are average and am hoping to snag an interview. I taught high school for 8 years and have a MA in Math Education. 2nd career nurse! I am on here everyday. Hopefully some of us will be classmates in the future.
GPA: 3.4
GRE: 297 (yep taking this again before applications are due)
CVICU: 1 year 6 months to date (I will have 2 years when I submit my application)
Congrats to everyone who received invitations. I'm sorry to hear for the ones who did not. I will be interviewing with Baylor on August 25th and UT on September 25th. My name is Josh and I hope to see some of y'all around at the interview process and hopefully in classes next year. Good luck to everyone. I think I am in the first batch of people interviewing so I will try immediately after my interview to give any heads up that I can.
For those who received Baylor invites are y'all going to attend the social gathering that evening? It looks like it is also for the SRNA student and I think it might be a good opportunity to pick some brains.

I am all for helping out fellow applicants, but every heads up and hint that you give out only gives those people who interview after you a better chance of getting in over you and every other person that interviewed on day one. That being said, I interviewed last year and will again this year. The social afterwards was really fun last year. The Baylor interview is several one on one interviews spaced throughout the day and they ask a good mix of personal and clinical questions. The UTHealth interview is a panel interview with like 5-7 different faculty members, can't remember how many were there. Baylors interview process lasts all day and is very warm and welcoming. The UTHealth interview only lasted about 30 minutes then an optional tour of their sim lab and then you are done.
Hello,
I am scheduled to interview at Baylor on 8/26. I was wondering if you guys had any insight about the curriculum? I noticed that they do 8 week terms for most semesters, so one semester consists of 3 terms. This seems to be very unique, and was wondering if anyone had any insight on what this is like?
