They do offer private loans through an approved list of lenders

Hey everyone,

I submitted my application for the ABSN program at Baylor. Just out of curiosity, did anyone fulfill the two required religion courses (Bible and world religion)? If so, where did you take the courses at and did they successful transfer over to Baylor? I wish everyone the best and hope you all are staying safe.

I am taking the first one at Central Christian College of Kansas!

Hi friends! I applied a week or two ago and was wondering if anyone has heard back as far as acceptance/rejections go?

As far as the religious courses, my advisor recommended American Public University, but I found a more cost friendly option through Dallas Community College (for one course) and Mclennan CC for the other. I'm waiting on hearing back before starting these courses, though, because each of the schools I'm looking into have diff, specific pre-reqs.

Also, I'm from the Austin area. :)

I took my religion courses at University of St. Thomas and they were accepted by Baylor. My advisor did recommend when she thought I might need to world religion course, that I could take it anywhere. That includes junior colleges.

The last I heard from my advisor last week is that the board did meet last Monday but she hasn’t received any updates as yet on acceptance or denials. We are all patiently waiting.

Nice -- I might check out that option too after hearing back. My advisor said the same thing, but he told me they're shooting for sending out results by the end of last week. Fingers crossed we'll all hear back soon!

Yes I have been patiently waiting. My advisor told me I was the first completed application to be view by the board and that was beginning of February.. LOL A lot is riding on this decision. So I’ll continue to wait patiently!! (Secretly biting my nails)

@ATXBSN for the course taken at Dallas Community College do you happen to know the exact name of the Dallas CCCD school? On apply Texas it shows that there are 7 different Dallas CCCD schools in the system. Sorry for asking so many questions. I was also recommended to the American Public University, but I need more cost effective options.

@SavannahAguilera I'm confused with the all the diff colleges, too haha. Once you apply and get accepted, you get full access to the class registrar. Once you click on "Add new classes to my plan", it will take you to the following page, where you can checkmark what campus you want to find classes on, and you have to select "INET" (I don't think it's one of the 7 campuses, it just means that it would be fully online). Under course and course number, type in PHIL 1304, and all the online world religion courses should pop up for you. They're hosted under multiple different colleges, but they're all online, so it's just easiest to search through the INET option. Let me know if that helps -- I'll also reach out to my advisor at some point and double make sure that this course will transfer. He said yes once in the past, but I'll make sure again and let ya know!

@ATXBSN WOW!, thank you so much for all the information, I greatly appreciate it. I wish you the best and stay safe during these times.
