I was contacted to discuss interviewing for Bayfront GN program. Has anyone heard anything about the program or does anyone work there now. What is their pay compared to the other hospitals in Tampa/St. Pete? I really haven't heard to much either good or bad about it, so any info would be greatly appreciated! I would have to relocate for the job and might have to fly down for an interview if it gets to that point.

Don't know the pay differences but I know someone who just loves Bayfront for her daughter who has Mitochondrial Disease. She prefers that place over St. Joes. I love St. Pete and prefer to live closer to there than in Tampa. Their downtown is just so low key compared to Tampa.
But Bayfront doesn't have pediatrics from what I understand. Unless you were referring to her adult daughter?
Oh shoot, you are right. I got it mixed up with All Childrens, sorry ugh. What is GN anyway? Graduated Nurse?
Yes that's what it stands for. I wish Bayfront had more specialties but with All Children's being so close, I guess they can't compete!

Did you get to go down for an interview at Bayfront?
Does Bayfront hire LPN's? I should just go back to the VA ugh. Worked at the Minneapolis one for 13 yrs. WHY DID I LEAVE????? I'm SOFA KING STUPID lol.
No I did a skype interview since I live in MD. Not sure what the result will be since it was yesterday.
I'm not sure. Where are you working now? Do you live in Tampa?
Glad you got to interview. Hopefully you hear back. Are you only interested in relocating to Florida for a job?
Me? I'm in Tampa but I work for a babysitting company that pays 14.00 an hour. No charting or meds haha. Have a school nurse interview this month though. Still need CPR and now First Aid, at least for the school nurse position. Who knows, I'll probaby try either a nursing home or ALF again but I can't promise I'll stay haha. I can't see losing my license due to super fast med passes and poosible errors, scares the heck out of me. Stilll looking at LPN bridges too. I bet the Carolina's are nice! Friend in Charlotte.
Well, I really loved it when I lived in St. Pete for college. I also lived in Orlando for a few years which was OK but I preferred the west coast. I did interview at Duke and even went to their new grad "hiring" event, which was more like speed dating to me. I didn't get an offer and I spent money on a hotel and drove 5 hrs each way. That's why I'm hesitant to just go anywhere. If I had a firm job offer that would be different, but I don't have the money to go all over the place. It's pretty exhausting trying to find a job in 1 state! I didn't hear anything from Baycare so maybe next week.
