Bauder College in Ga closing

U.S.A. Georgia

Is there anyone attending Bauder College at the present time who can shed some light on thier current situation. I received a call from someone in admissions stating the nursing program is no longer offered at the Atlanta campus. She apologized for any inconvenience and said the school would refund my application fee.

I graduated from the nursing program a few few months ago..and I would say everything happens for a reason. I wish this had happened to me when I signed up. 40,000 went down the drain for a program where professors tell you to read your text book before coming to class n all they do is answer questions. They dont teach. I just took the NCLEX and 50 % of the questions I had ..I was totally clueless. Bc I was not taught. The school teaches u to pass the class n not the NCLEX. The material covered are seen again on quizes not on NCLEX. Thank God this happened so u guys will mot waste $40,000.

Wow!!!! Thanks for posting your honest feeling. I can really appreciate that. Everything will work out for you. If you do not mind me asking, what are you doing now?

Right now I am working as a cna with a nursing agency and studying to retake my state board.

That is terrible, but at least you got to finish and can take the boards. What happens to the current nursing students who started in June.

I am so glad I didn't attend. Something about their presentation was a bit ghetto to me . I feel bad for the people who are now there. It's about time the government come down on these for-profit schools. I can understand charging a higher price than the technical colleges and universities, but my goodness the price was a bit astronomical. These schools prey on people's dreams which is so wrong

Wow If i was you I would attend the program for aimed at helping nursing pass the test. kaptest.comNClEX. It was that 40,000 that didn't make sense to me. If it was a BSN I would of signed up but the numbers didn't make sense I wish you all the best...

My friend graduated from this school on Dec. 23, 2013. She passed her boards and have yet to receive a license from the state of GA. You can sit for the boards but they will not issue you a license even if you pass the NCLEX. When she started they were in the initial phase of accreditation. I signed up with Bauder back in 2012. I had mixed emotions about the school. One lady would say they were fully accredited and the Dean said they were in the 3rd phase of getting fully accredited. I chose to do the excelsior program. Glad I didn't spend 32k. I Hope this helps. Wish all the best on their endeavors.

Hmm that's strange. I graduated from Bauder in 2013 too. I passed the NCLEX and found employment shortly thereafter. I can't think of why she wouldn't get a license because mine was on the GA State Board of Nursing the very next day after the test.

Even if Bauder wasn't closing, I would never recommend that program to anyone.

Who issued her ATT? If it was Georgia, there is no reason they wouldn't license her - if they had a problem with her school, they wouldn't have approved her application for licensure by examination in the first place. She needs to contact the GA BON if she took boards under their authority.

I graduated in 2012 from the nursing program @ Bauder College. I took my N-Clex and passed it on my first attempt because the instructors made sure they prepared us for N-Clex. I started to work 1 month after I got my license from the state of Georgia and still working as a nurse for a good company. I agree with you Pixie. That person needs to contact the GA BON if she took boards under their authority.

Or she didn't pass at all. I went to bauder and I'm preparing to take my nclex and I have several friends that have graduated and took their boards just last month and their licenses were up the next day.

My cousin currently attend Bauder's nursing program. They adviced her that they will be graduating her class but they will be the last group of students.
