Hi Nurismydream,

I am also excited and nervous. It sure is hard to find a recent thread but I ran into a person on campus that is in the program. She started this past January and she said the first semester isn't too bad. The second semester gets harder. But I think we will be ok, we just have to be organized and study, study, study.....

Where did you do your pre reqs? I did mine at MDC. Maybe we will have some classes together. I will most likely see you at orientation.

Good Luck!:)

I also apply for the accelerated program at Barry. I did all my pre reqs at MDC. I'm taking MCB lab and statistic this semester. Did you get accepted to the program? They will tell me if i got accepted in september. What was your GPA when you applied for Barry. I have a 3.5 now

Hi Barbajo06,

Yes, I have been accepted to the program. When did you apply and who is your admissions counselor at Barry? I applied in March. My GPA was 3.86, but I know people that has been accepted with 3.0 and 3.2 GPAs. What campus are you taking MCB lab and statistics?

Good Luck!

I pray that I/we can handle it. I took my pre-reqs at FAU. Speaking of orientation is that what the school considers sTART to be or does the NUR have one of its own?

Right back at you

I applied between july and august, don't remember. My counselor is Sarah Ganbrill. I'm taking statistic at Wolfson and MCB lab at north. By the way you have a great GPA. I wanted to have a 3.7 but that stupid microbiology lecture killed me, I had a C.

Hi nurismydream,

The SON has its own orientation that is 1 credit and we take a diagnostic test during the 2 day orientation.

:wink2:

Hi barbajo06,

Who is your professor for MCB lab? I had Dr. Siu and he was awesome!

Thanks, and a 3.5 is an excellent GPA!

A diagnostic test y?..wow i was not aware of that at all now i really don't now how to feel...are you serious?..ok im going to start freaking out:confused:

Hey Doralmom

Wow, I'm taking him for lab too. He's goood so far. How did you study for his quizes and unknown exam?

By the way when are you graduating, if you already graduated how did it feel to be in the honors rows cause i want that. Did you apply to mdc-medical campus for nursing too?

My transcript say A.S cause i apply at Barry and MDC-Medical campus. If iI get accepted at Barry , I'll change it to A.A

The transcript i sent to Barry did not include the classes i'm taking this semester, what do you think I should do?

Hi nurismydream,

Don't freak out. I think it is only a writing test, maybe vocab and basic math, and a HIPPA test. They send you the material to read on HIPPA via Blackboard before orientation.

We'll be fine.
