After the interview I felt terrible. My answers were all over the place and I felt like I was talking so fast - it was over too quick! I kept analyzing my answers on the drive home (I had 6 hours to ponder my mistakes) and I thought of so many things I could've said. I was kicking myself. However, I got an email this morning and I got in! :) I put Tampa first and Orlando second - they told us we would most likely get our first choice but I really don't care where I end up. I'll be taking the chem course in the fall most likely. See y'all in January!

Does anyone know when the chemistry class begins in the fall?

In addition, I know I've already touched on this before, but I'm trying to determine my living situations, and am stuck right now in regards to signing a lease (I can't sign if I don't know 100% that I'll be in Tampa, which was my first choice). Has anyone heard when we're supposed to know "officially" where our clinical site is? or has anyone who interviewed at an earlier date found out already?

Gaspasser - I know you started a thread for the Orlando cohort, and had one response - is this based on them telling you in the interview that you would "Most likely get your first choice" or based on official notification?

They informed us that we would "most likely" get our first choice, but I don't want to rely on that, just in case. Any information would be helpful! Again, sorry for being redundant!

That is a good question. I am wondering the same thing... I have not received an official notification, but they said that since we were one of the earliest interview groups that we had a 99.9% chance that we would get our top choice. Especially if it was one of the sites that accepts around 20 people like Miami, Tampa, and Orlando. Also, my interview group only had 1 other person that put Orlando as their top choice and my friends group only had 1 other as well, so I am hoping these are all good signs. Have you tried calling the school to tell them your situation and ask if they could give you a final answer? I don't see why they couldn't...

I heard from the other students taking ane627 that we don't find out our clinical site until closer to the start of the program. But, I suppose it won't hurt to call. I'm kind of in a similar situation.

I am still waiting for a response from Barry on acceptance into the program. I completed my application mid April. Is anyone still waiting? When so they stop reviewing them and when is the last interview group?

I am still waiting too. I spoke with (moderator edit of name/initials) who is an assistant director of admissions yesterday and she stated that my file is under review with the committee and that it may take a month to hear anything.

Interviewed on June 14th and am happy to say I have been admitted to Barry University's class of 2011! Thank you every one for the tips about the interview and the program. Going to start the head start program in September. I requested the South Florida clinical location, did any one else? See all of you that got accepted in January!

Have any of you heard anything about the UM program. The only reason Im rethinking Barry is that I would need massive loans to survive. UM has a scholarship with a 3 year commitment.
