Has anyone already gotten accepted for January 2011 at Barry? If so how was the interview process? How long did it take to be notified of an interview after all documentation was submitted? How long did it take for you to be notified re: admit decision after your interview? Also can you share your stats like GRE, GPA and work experience. Thanks!

Congratulations mnurse and milkamnesia!! Alright so that's 3 confirmed classmates of mine that were at my interview. mnurse, nurse_ane, and milkamnesia, which ones were you at the interview? I need to match a face with a name. I was the one at the head of the table... out of the two guys that were there I was the younger one there.

Well I was at the other side of the table. I was the Black girl, so I guess I can say that I was the darkest one!haha:p:yeah:So I guess we gonna see each other in January. I am planning to take the Advanced Research & Evidence-Based Practice, what about you or anyone else?

I would like to take that, but I am taking the transition chem course in the summer and don't wanna shell out another $2,500 for that class. I am going to take the first semester chemistry course in the fall though. I have a buddy that works on my floor is also starting at Barry in January... he is taking the research class in the summer.

I was at the other end of the table, wearing a gray suite. Like everyone else. I have the 3 yr old dtr. I want to take the research class, but I am worried about the attendance policy. I sent an e-mail about it, but have not heard back. I also asked at my interview about the attendance and they did not know. I am all ready scheduled for two thursdays in may, and don't think I will be able to trade both of them. Plus no one at work knows about my school plans. Anyone know about the attendance issue?

I am so confused now... I know that there were a bunch of girls on the left side of the table (if looking at the table from the door) that were going for the Tampa cohort. I think the one closest to me had a child. Not sure if that is you mnurse. There was another one on the left in the middle of the table that was from Cleveland. Then, there was a blonde girl sitting against the wall that was from Tampa that works in a vascular unit [like me =)]. Is that any of you. If not, are any of you that are accepted going to be at the Orlando cohort?

Congrats to all of you that have been accepted.

If you are able to take the research class now.....do it. Unless any changes have been made, the class is in second semester. In that semester you are just starting full-time clinical, OB, Patho II, Pharm II & Regional anesthesia plus the reports and care plans that are required in clinical. It'll be one less thing you have to worry about. If not, don't sweat it, it's still doable.

I graduate this Saturday, but will still be on this board probably daily as I will be studying for the national board exam. So if you have anymore questions, shoot them out or PM me.

I want to take ANE627A this summer, but am worried about attendance. I am all ready scheduled for two thursdays in may and I know I have a required computer class on a thurs in june. No one at work knows about my plans to go to CRNA school (due to the serious backlash that I would receive).

I can't get an answer from the professors at Barry about what the policy is. Do I get points off my grade if I miss class? Will I be able to get info from class from another student?

Please help! Registration deadline is monday.

mnurse: I am surprised you haven't heard from anyone yet. Do you think you can switch with anyone at work for those two days in May? I really doubt it would be an issue. Nevertheless, why not call the professor and ask as it so close to the deadline date?

Thanks for your help, that's more information than what I've been able to get from the university staff. I'm still waiting for a response from (moderator edit of prof name). I can't send a PM, not sure how to do that on this website. I think I'll go ahead and sign up for the class. I think I'll only miss two classes.

How long ago did you send the email with your questions? Its not really a good excuse but we just graduated Saturday and I know they've been busy preparing for that. Hopefully you will get your answer soon, they are usually good at returning emails.

I think you're smart for signing up for it, anything you can get out of the way before starting the program is always a good thing. Once they post the notes on the university intranet, they are available for the entire semester and they may be recording the lectures also, they did for us in the program so that we could go back a relisten later if need be. Dont know if its any different for the pre-program classes as they weren't an option when I started.
