Barry CRNA Starting 2018

Hello all! I just thought I would start a thread for those of us applying. I have started my application and I am working on my personal statement now. How are you all doing?

I have taken the GRE and passed my CCRN. I still need to get my PALS. I also need to ask for my letters of recommendation and send in my school transcripts & GRE scores. I'm going to try to apply for the Tampa campus.

My application was all fully submitted as of April 7th. I got an email on April 24th saying that my application was under review with the admissions committee. I'm so, so anxious waiting for a phone call. Fingers crossed I get an interview! Good luck to everyone waiting to hear news about interviews or admission! And congrats to all who already got in!

How did that interview go? From reading previous posts, the head start program seems like a very good idea and lessens the workload come January.

I had talked to Barry I think Tuesday this week and they said they didn't yet have a date for the May interviews but it would likely be towards the earlier part of may. I plan to call again later on this week to check again.

Does anyone know how many they accept for each site?

I heard from a friend that called the school; they said they are almost to their limit of 90 admissions, so there will likely only be one or two more rounds of interviews!

I'm currently in Tampa. Class of 2019 started with 82 or 84 total with 18 in Tampa. Orlando is the largest, probably close to 30'ish. South Florida class has mid 20's. Ocala only 4, West palm- smaller than Tampa site.

I didnt think they were approved to admit 90 students.

Not sure how many students they will accept for this upcoming class. But I think they've only had about three interviews which began at the end of march with the application deadline just passing. From previous forum posts, they interview all the way up till September...

I just got off the phone with Mrs. Denise Deen-Hosein and she said that they will be filling 90 seats this year and they barely have half filled. So good luck to all of us!!!

My application was under review last Monday the 24. Any idea how long it takes to get a call back if they are interested?

Anxiously...but patiently waiting haha :)
