Just thought I'd start a thread for all of us applying! I'm planning on completing my application pretty soon. Taking the CCRN this week, and then I'll be ready to go! How are you all faring?
Also, does anyone know anything about the Tampa campus? I'm going to try and go for that one.
I just received an email responding to one of my emails (that was in response to THEIR email) regarding missing credentials (chem class). I emailed them and said the transcripts are on their way and they should receive next week. Their reply said that as of today my file was sent for review to the admission committee. But they told me it was sent back in march to the admissions committee. I am confused as to what is going on.
At this point, I'm just trying to patiently wait. By the way, if anyone from out of state is looking for a place to stay for the length of the program let me know. I live in a 3/2 by myself so I have two open rooms I can rent out. Or I can rent out the entire house because I have family locally. I live in the West Palm Beach area so this would only be feasible for people applying to West Palm or Broward/ Ft Lauderdale area.

I have pretty similar stats. ADN 3.05 BSN 3.59 (transcripts say cum laude), last 60units 3.38, last 120units 3.38 as well (I have > 200 units). I took a biochem course last year and got a B. Changed my major a lot, lol. I also worked full-time as a LVN during ADN school, and two jobs during BSN school. Had I known I would be applying to CRNA school I probably would have worked less.
I have CCRN, ACLS and PALS. I'm scheduled to take CMC and I'm considering taking TCRN (since I was required to take TCAR), but only if I don't get invited for this next interview session. 1.5 years mixed ICU in the second busiest ghetto hood hospital in California (we call it the wild west, haha), 3 years ICU step down. Rapid response and code nurse, and I'm on a committee. GRE 150 quant 153 verbal (1130 old score), 5.0 analytical writing. Probably could have done better on the GRE, but I'm avoiding retaking it if I can because studying high school math was like pulling teeth. 8 hours shadowing. I submitted my app on 4/18, and it was completed and forwarded to the admissions committee on 5/5.
If I can get an interview I'm pretty sure I can probably seal the deal, but I'm hoping my mediocre stats don't prevent me from getting an interview since I applied a little bit later. I applied late because I was pretty set on USAGPAN (if you meet army requirements and NEU's minimum requirements you're pretty much a shoe in since the army has a shortage of active duty CRNAs), but I couldn't get a waiver for an old football injury.
I'm willing to go to any clinical site since I'm coming from out of state and don't have ties to anybody or anything in FL. My last 60 and 120 are both EXACTLY what the average GPA of last year's accepted class was, and my GRE seems to be right where they like it, so we'll see what happens!! Wish I would have applied sooner!
