Okay, current and/or former students and rejectees:
Has anyone been rejected due to their gpa? Was the gpa less than 3.2. I'm afraid that with their competivness, I won't get accepted.

Oh, Nik Nik....don't give up on the community colleges either...sometimes there's a reason why we have to wait....have you retaken the dosage test yet?!?!?
You know, I can't afford to quit my job really and I am not willing to quit to go to the cc and make some silly mistake as I did on the dosage test and get kicked out of the program. I really can't afford to take that risk. I am supposed to start Maryville in Jan but I can't get into the program until Fall 09. I'm gonna try BJC for Spring 09 also.
BTW...I haven't retaken the dosage test.

Unlike many other programs, you don't arbitrarily get kicked out of the cc for not passing a dosage test. And so far, it hasn't been required to get 100% to pass. Each semester since first, we've taken one at the beginning of the semester and if you don't pass with (either?) 90 or 95%, then they work with you to ensure that we understand what our "silly mistake"(s) were and then you move on.
Whatever you decide, I wish you the best of luck!!

i am pretty sure that Barnes doesnt have a wait list, so I dont think you have to worry about "competition"

My CC has three dosage and calculations tests over the course of the entire program that we must pass with 100%.
I've been so lucky as to get accepted to BJC for Spring 09. :w00t: :smokin:

Congradulations!
I know from all your posts you've been working hard to get there! Good luck! Are you taking additional classes for the BSN between now & then? Just curious. You'll make a great nurse!

Yep, I'm taking it now at FP. I recommend Applebaum if she's available.
Good luck on your acceptance.
