Baptist School of Health Professions 2016 Summer

Published

Hello, since no one has made a thread I decide to make one. Any applicants for the 2016 Summer? If so what was your GPA and Teas score? Any advice from others is appreciated. The wait game for responses is around the corner. I am getting nervous.

Congrats thats awesome! Yes, I cant wait to meet you too and start our classes. May will be here before we know it. :nurse:

Does anyone know the exact start date of class? or is that something they'll announce on the processing day?

@jessi21 We start May 2nd for Summer applicants.

FYI: I turned in my immunization to the nurse. It is a 45 minute process when you see the nurse. I will be doing my CPR with Stayin Alive next weekend for $45 since I have the book. This is the cheapest I have found.

Good Luck to those waiting on the final deadline!

thank you! I don't know how I overlooked that but I could not find it anywhere.

I think our packet said May 2?? I don't have it in front of me right now. On the welcome email there are about 5-7 email attachments and I think I remember reading it there

ok great, I saw the important dates attachment but I didn't remember seeing any start date. Thank you so much.

Hoping for non-priority admission soon! Does anyone know when everything is due? Immunizations, CPR and drug test (do we have our own doctor do a drug screen or do we have to go somewhere special?)

@lysha86, I haven't received the info on drug testing but I think by processing day ( March 22). Don't quote me on that. I am scheduled for my cpr this weekend with Stayin Alive. All I need is the drug test and background check.

Any word on your acceptance?

Thanks for the info! No word on acceptance yet- final admission was due Feb 15th, so we should hear on/around the end of Feb. I had a B in both microbiology and A&P 1, an A in A&P II, and an 82.7 on my TEAS... hope its enough to still get in!

Sounds like my grades. You should be fine! Let us know when you hear!

Well, bittersweet news today... I got provisional acceptance, but my husband was put on the alternate :( We have the same GPA and I only scored about 2points higher on my TEAS. We must have been very close to filling the leftover spots from priority admission (Rebecca told me they only accept 30 for the summer start so it's very hard to get in on final deadline). Does, anybody know how common it is to make it in from the alternate list?
