Hello! I applied to the Baptist School of Health professions for the Fall 2019 program. Does anyone know (if accepted) when does the program actually start, and when did you find out you got accepted? The flyer says August and another says September 3rd. Could anyone from the prior fall programs tell me when their program started and when they found out about their acceptance?? Thank you in advance!!
I really apologize if I'm being annoying lol there's just so little information & I'm a major type a, I must plan lol! I was accepted for the upcoming spring semester and I'm wondering when orientation will be? I'm assuming it has to be sometime in November because December is really last minute (since spring semester starts January 6th). Anyways, will they be dropping everything on us in orientation? Because I know nothing about financial aid, payments, schedules, or really anything lol
At orientation they will talk to you about everything briefly. But you will get your schedule for that 1st half of the semester. Along with the syllabus. They will talk to you about financial aid but i think the actual info comes a week or two later. I think orientation was about 6 weeks from the start date. Hope this helps! Congrats on getting in! Your gonna love it

Thank you for responding! I assume that our orientation will probably happen a little sooner due to all the holidays that are going to be happening prior to the Spring semester (that's my wishful thinking lol). Thank you! I am extremely excited, and also nervous! Any advice for me?

All this. And pay attention if the instructors say something more than once! Watch the skills videos they assign you, they are important! Start doing concept maps on every disease process you learn, it helps a lot. (Pinterest can point you in the right direction on that).

I was accepted in the spring ‘19 semester and our student success I believe was December 4th, 2018. They will send you an email the last week of October letting you know the exact date. They will tell you everything you need to know at Orientation. They will also give you the course schedule for foundations, as well as assign your first reading assignments.
I know the financial aid payments can be split into 3 payments, each 2 weeks apart.
The first 8 weeks are pretty easy, especially if you have any sort of medical background. I certainly wouldn’t read every single assignment, just the ones where the most exam questions come from. (Compare your reading assignments to your ‘exam blueprint’ when you receive it and live by that) don’t stress yourself with reading everything, that’s completely unnecessary. Don’t be overwhelmed when you leave orientation, it seems like a lot more than it is. Get your study guides for the 8 weeks (“tickets to ride”) out of the way before school starts. You’ll thank yourself later. Also, concept mapping doesn’t really apply until the later half of the semester and 2nd. So don’t stress about that now.

I don’t think I have used those results again

You can buy them from other cohorts or rent them. I believe your medical surgical book is going to be New so just buy it since you'll need it for multiple semesters. Try to buy other books used online if other cohorts don't sell them.
