Hello! I applied to the Baptist School of Health professions for the Fall 2019 program. Does anyone know (if accepted) when does the program actually start, and when did you find out you got accepted? The flyer says August and another says September 3rd. Could anyone from the prior fall programs tell me when their program started and when they found out about their acceptance?? Thank you in advance!!
Hi! I am enrolled in BSHP, and just finished my “float” semester. The schedule for us in foundations was Class Tuesday/Wednesday, 9-12. clinical are Thursday or Friday (12 hours) OR Thursday and Friday (6 hours each day).
If you have any other questions, I can answer them to the best of my ability!
That is cool and the schedule doesn't seem bad. What was the criteria for being selected for the float semester? What classes are considered float classes and are they doable? I'm planning to do the same however, I literally just found out I am pregnant and am not sure if accelerating through will be doable.

The float semester is for students who don’t accelerate (which is the majority of students). It’s Adaptations the first 8 weeks (relatively easy) and then Pharmacology the last 8 weeks. (Not as bad as you’re thinking).
To be considered to accelerate you need to have ALL of your pre-reqs finished and have an A (or as close to it as possibile) in foundations & Commons. It really depends on your classmates and how well they do. I want to say 10-15 members of my class accelerated and they were EXHAUSTED between mental health& pharm.

O wow. I figured it would be tough. I will be done with all my pre req courses as I'll be taking Ethics in the Fall. I will see how the first 8 weeks go before deciding if I want to advance through or just take the summer off...
Thanks for giving us a chance to ask questions, starting the program is anxiety provoking lol

Thank you for all of your insight. I will be there first thing Monday morning to get an answer as I don't want a delayed response to emails to hurt my case.
Thanks again
