Baptist School of Health Professions (BSHP) Spring 2012

U.S.A. Texas

Hey guys. I noticed there isn't a thread for this BSHP program. I just got my admission letter by email a couple minutes ago! :D

Is there anybody else who will be going to this school in the Spring?

No white uniforms. Didn't want my goodies showed off to the the general public through stupid white uniforms. Viva La Navy Blue!!!!

They do have a different color now though... royal blue top with black pants. But yeah, I was pretty nervous about the white scrubs.

Hey everyone! I finally was notified of my processing time. I'm guessing it went by last names...I'm scheduled for 1pm to 4pm. Anyone with me?

Hello everyone...My name is Tara... I am new to this forum. I too was one of the alternates and I got my notification this past week that I was accepted! YAY! My processing time is from 9-12; I can't wait to meet some of you and get this show on the road!!! So much to do...so little time:uhoh3:

Congrats Tara, glad to have you! I'm getting antsy waiting to learn more about the program.

Anyone still need to take CPR? I still have not done so, but do we have to have it done by processing no exceptions.

I was one of the lucky ones who had their FAFSA and income tax return requested for finacial aid review. I think I am totally ready for the processing and hope to meet several of you there. Congrats Tara - welcome.

I do not have my CPR yet either. The advisor told me it had to be in my file by December 22.

Welcome, Tara!

Welcome, Tara!

cegr, I'm waiting for financial aid to contact me... it hasn't happened yet. Maybe I should give them a call or send an email. Has anybody else been contacted about financial aid?

I haven't had my CPR done yet, either. Hopefully this week. Have you heard of Master Train? A little pricey at $50 but they do walk-ins and have a class almost every day.

Hi everyone! I've been following the post and looked into going to bshp. I found out about the program late so I'm just going to get my lvn then go to uthsc for my bsn. Anyways for the lvn I had to be cpr certified in adult, child and infant. it was $40 and you all can go to http://www.learncpr-firstaid.com/ to sign up. They have different certifications and you all can check it out to see which one bshp requires you to take. Congrats and enjoy your program!

After my last post, I sent an email to John asking if we will be going over financial aid and things of that sort on processing day - I will update y'all as soon as I hear back.

When I met with financial aid yesterday, she said she would see me on November 4 so I assume they will be there to inform us of the process and what is available.

I got a response. CPR does not need to be completed by processing just by 12-22 like nikki_s said. He did say financial aid will be discussed and if they have already received fafsa info from you then they will most likely have a preliminary award sheet for you. That all makes me feel much better!!

Thanks cegr and amazingkelsey!
