I just got an offer for their preceptorship today after a phone interview. It was fairly straight forward. You needed letter or recommendation (I had 3, one from an old ICU RN that I worked with when I was a tech in the ICU, my current ADON, and an instructor), a letter of intent, and resume. I applied as soon as it opened up, and the recruiter emailed me within a couple days to set up and interview. After the interview today, she immediately offered me a preceptorship position on the unit I wanted. It went pretty fast.
Hey! I know this is an old thread but it’s the only one I could find that was still open. I was just chosen for Banners student nurse preceptorship for this fall during my final semester.
Once accepting the offer what were the next steps?
if the preceptorship went well we’re you offered a position upon passing NCLEX?
I am in my dream unit (trauma neuro ICU) and I want to know if there’s a chance they will hire me upon completion of the preceptorship.
thank you!

Has anyone applied to the Banner preceptorship program for their final semester of school? If so, please share your experience. How long did it take to hear from a recruiter after submitting the application? What was the interview like? How did you prepare? Thank you!
