Baldwin-Wallace ABSN 2020 cycle

Published

Hello!

I just thought to make this thread for anyone applying to the Baldwin-Wallace ABSN program for Fall 2020. Please feel free to share tips and pointers for a successful application process and possibly acceptance.

Also if we do get in (which we will fingers-crossed), we can connect with each other and help one another out for things like finding a roommate and affordable places to live for those of us coming from out of state.

Specializes in Prospective Student Nurse.

Hey guys I need advice. Should I email the other school saying I am declining their offer of acceptance or should I just not say anything?

Specializes in Hospice, Oncology.

I would let them know, I emailed the other schools I applied to and they said they really appreciated it.

Yeaa I would let them know! And I sent a message with my number

Hi! I just got my invitation for an interview and I was wondering if anyone remembered the questions they asked or had any tips for the interview process? I'm pretty nervous and could really use some helpful information!

Hey CONGRATS! The two interviews are pretty much the same questions, one with faculty and the other with the head of admissions. There was an essay question, I would keep it short and simple. It's hard to remember now but they asked me why BW, why I want to be a nurse, what I have done to solve a problem, and attributes I have that would make me a good nurse. My suggestions would be to relax, smile, and enjoy talking about yourself and your past experiences. They just want to get to know you and what led to you to this point. I'm sure you'll do great!

Thank you so much for the tips! When do you hear back about getting a second interview?

I attended the interview in person so I did both interviews back to back the same day.

Hi CONGRATS!! Don’t be nervous! They really just want to get to know who you are and why you want to be a nurse! My advice would to just be yourself! Besides the question about why I wanted to go into nursing, I remember they asked me a question like when was a time that you had a plan and you had to adapt to a change in that plan. They also asked me something along the lines of when was there a mistake that I made and what kind of things did I do to fix it. Also, I did my interview over Skype and I only had the one interview and I heard back about two weeks later! If you are doing your interview over Skype, my friend said it’s better to wear one solid color(no patterns) and to have a solid color as the background. Good luck, you got this!

Hello everyone!
I just found out this morning that I was accepted into BW’s ABSN program!
I’m currently living out of state and I’m wondering if orientation and other dates will be affected during this time.

Can someone message me and add me to the WhatsApp group?!

Thank you so much! ?

Hi everyone! I found out yesterday that I will be joining the Fall 2020 Cohort at BW!! I am super excited and looking forward to meeting you all.

I was planning on living on the campus apartments but was told that they are now full. So I am beginning the search for an apartment close by. If someone could also add me to the WhatsApp group I'd really appreciate it!

Hello! Thank you to those who responded to my last comment about the interview process! I received my acceptance email and I'm in the process of confirming my enrollment.

I'll be moving from Portland, OR and will be living in an apartment off campus with my cousin. Has anyone here looked at or found affordable apartments near campus?

If I could also be added to the WhatsApp group that'd be so great! I look forward to meeting you all and getting to know you!
